Is Bob Rae going to run for Liberal leader?

Maybe. Then again, maybe not.

Is Bob Rae going to run for Liberal leader?

  1. Of course Rae is going to run for leadership. Rae is snake in grass, that’s how he rolls, so breaking his promises won’t be a big deal to him.

Rae wants to see out his dotage as leader of moribund third party – while two other parties appear vigorous and lively, Libs will be lead by pensioner who is considered to be a chupacabra in Canada’s largest province.

I think it was W Kinsella, months ago now, wrote in The Sun that Rae was telling people he planned to run for leadership, Rae’s coy act is what makes regular people hate politics.

    • If this is a problem, it should be way, way down on the list for people. OMG THEY CHOSE THE CANDIDATE THEY FELT BEST!! THIS CANNOT STAND!!

    • “Rae is snake in grass, that’s how he rolls, so breaking his promises won’t be a big deal to him.”

Uh… have you looked at our PM’s record lately??? Or, for that matter, since the day he took office? Clearly, political honesty is not a big concern of voting Canadians.

      • I agree that all pols are lying liars but I felt like a rant.

Rae’s lying particularly egregious because I believe Rae has wanted to be leader for years and he’s willing to do and say anything, including lying to his own party’s exec. Rae always intended to be Lib leader and he’s been lying to his party’s members about his intentions. It will be interesting to see if anyone serious is going to compete against Rae for leadership. Lib party not to healthy if Rae is best it can do.

  2. If Rae becomes anything more than ‘interim’ leader, I’ll be voting for the Pirate Party.

  3. Of course Rae will run for leader, he promised on several occasions that he wouldn’t. And he’ll win, because Liberals love a liar.

    • “…Liberals love a liar.”

Ah… that explains why so many of them switched & voted CPC in the last election!

  4. C’mon, it’s not like he passed a fixed election law and then broke it, for crying out loud…

  5. If Rae becomes leader of the LPC, no matter what else he does, the fact that he promised not to run and broke his promise will become the centre of the CPC campaign against him.
