Stockwell Day subsequently rose and accused Mr. Easter of both ruining the stock market and communing with separatists.

It is, of course, silly to enforce logic on these proceedings, but is it worth remembering how the Finance Minister openly spoke of consulting with the Bloc last week on the economic statement and, for that matter, that in doing so he also chastised the Liberals and NDP for not being so similarly interested in such bipartisanship?

Probably not.
