  1. Funny, the CPC aren't answering any questions from groups representing municipalities, healthcare and other things that will affect all our lives. Yet, the Evangelical religious organization was happy with all the answers they got and gave a passing grade to Harper and the CPC and a failing grade to every other leader and party (yes, F for everyone else). Only catch is the rest of us aren't allowed to know what answers the Evanglical organizations got. Perhaps there are certain "very ethnic" groups that have their own "answers" from Harper or Kenney.

    • “Funny, the CPC aren't answering any questions from groups representing municipalities, healthcare and other things that will affect all our lives.”

Good point about the impact on our daily lives – seems many of Harper's Conservatives and the Evangelical cohort – a very worrisome alliance – are more concerned about what happens after we check out of this one.

You might be interested in this article titled “Stephen Harper and the Theocons” by Marci McDonald which describes “the rising clout of Canada's religious right". She also wrote a book titled “The Armageddon Factor: The Rise of Christian Nationalism in Canada” which documents how fundamentalist Christianity has “provoked far-reaching changes in Canadian policies and institutions …”

Decidedly unfortunate that we don't have a law here in Canada that explicitly mandates the separation of Church and State.

  2. The Conservatives must not realize that FCM represents smaller cities, towns and rural municipalities, not just big cities, which have their own organization. It's offensive that the CPC refuses to participate in independent, national efforts at constructive, democratic engagement during an election or otherwise, and instead pollute the airwaves with toxic "messages."

  3. I'm very surprised the Green's didn't answer–unless they weren't given the questions?

Also, why on earth does the FCM want to know whether I plan on voting on May 22? What would I be voting on? Surely, it is a physical impossibility to be having a general election just 21 days after the last one!
