Rona is bad, more Rona

NDP MP Paul Dewar shows an interesting grasp of logic.

He said Ms. Ambrose’s involvement so far has been negative, and the time has come for her to get actively engaged in efforts to get the two sides back to talking.

Silly question. Is there anything Rona Ambrose can’t be blamed for at this point?

Rona is bad, more Rona

  1. Rona: your Canadian how-to-screw-up person.

  2. Leave Rona alone. Ever since Alan Greenspan revealed that Ayn Rand hadn’t checked her premises adequately, she’s been rudderless, adrift in a sea of confusing reality

  3. This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone after all the NDP only have a lttle time left to shake the CPC cage as much as they can before the rug is pulled out from under them come this budget. The after the LPC ginzo knives start the death of a thousand cuts against them they will be turning their attention back to coveting their neighbors liberal wares as it were.

  4. I might be overthinking this one but it seems to me that Rona only got involved because this dispute is taking place on John Baird’s turf. Everyone knows that Baird has a lot of influence on this PMO. I’m sure that this is also the reason why Clement came out of nowhere with his promise of a $30M bailout for Nortel.

  5. Dewar is NDP – only unions are right. Fact is, the average Joe Blow is being caught between Corporate and Union greed.

Are unions folks not aware of the economical situation worldwide?

  6. Who?

This is a pretty bad time for the Canadian labour movement…

  7. The really should have outsourced OCTranspo to Bangalore when they had the chance.

  8. How much does Rona actually deserve the scorn heaped on her? It always seemed to me that many of her problems stemmed from PMO meddling.

    • Rona is the equivalence that has brought the United States to its knees; i.e. being cute – as in George W. Bush – can be substituted for substance.

Rona is also the poster-girl for Harperism – the ultimate Stepford Wife.

      Hello Senator Duffy!

  9. I don’t think Dewar’s comments are so difficult to understand. What he is suggesting is that Rona be more cooperative and less partisan. What does seem a bit tenuous, at least to me, is the idea that she is capable or inclined to show this sort of leadership.

  10. The CLOWNservatives seem to have a difficult time with this ‘voting’ thing. When to allow a vote and when to run away and prorogue a vote.

Better slink into the shadows again Rona and wait for somebody competent to take the reins.

  12. Of course they’re aware. After all, it’s all their fault, isn’t it ?
