    • hahahaha…when Iggy said that, I thought immediately of George Bush the elder saying that democracy and freedom are like kites that fly high in the wind.

    • Bushian Maoist!

      • Apparently they won't allow "Bush" with "ite" added.

        • Use an exclamation mark: Bush!te. Or if you can access your Spanish keyboard, Bush¡te

  9. I have not seen any polls today reflecting the debates last night, and I really have no interest in what Facebook clicks say, but I do believe the Debate last night was a disaster for Ignatieff. Everybody I have talked to, many of them Liberals have said that not only was he incoherent and scattered, he looked bad.

I do not understand the Liberal strategy. It is almost like they are taking advice from the Lib-supporters here at Blog Central. The blind optimism of Wherry, the rude repetitive accusations of tedbetts, the incoherence of Emily, and I fully expected him to just shout– NO– at Layton one time, like our Mike T—all of these were evident in Iggy`s vain attempt to show he might be an alternative PM.

For every die-hard Liberal vote Iggy solidified with his angry accusatory tone last night, he lost 10 votes with those that might have voted Liberal. This debate was every bit as bad for the Liberals as the 2008 Dion inability to answer that question in Halifax.

  10. note the sread between Iggy and Jack – this I think is the real fight – what if ….. what if the Liberals fall over in BC and in Quebec allowing the NDP to become the official opposition? – now before you thumb me down thinking I am way off .. stop and think about it – at least Canadians would then have a clear choice between poltical parties that actually have a guiding philosophy and are not the Liberal Party which is liberal in name only and when you get right down stands for nothing except obtaining power – think about it.
