  1. So is this, taxpayer retroactive payout to people whom the Canadian government had determined at the time to be acting in their best interest but would fall short by today’s standards, the new norm?

    Is the medical community liable for past treatment now that we have better methods.

    Can everyone involved with the Children’s aid society expect a similar payout?

    How bad would native reservations be today if their members had only “native” education? Who would repair their trucks and big screen tvS?

    Do we really believe European settlers had any other alternative at the time than to use our knowledge and civilization to defend against the attacks of marauding tribes and make signed treaties with them? I don’t.

    Natives would have done worse.
