Today’s the day (II)

While you wait, it is perhaps instructive, or least relevant, to consider the debate on CBC’s The Current yesterday (scroll down) between various experts of this field.

Today’s the day (II)

  1. Someday, when all the great struggles of our generation are long concluded, that day when our lives too have taken their place in the chronicles of Canada's past and are weighed in the scales of history, on that day, how will we fare? What will be our legacy? Will it inspire those who come after us? Will ours too be a torch that they will hold high?

    Stephen Harper April 9, 2010

  2. This will be remembered as our Dark Ages.

  3. how will we fare? Not well, assuming "we" means Harper and company.

What will be our legacy? Almost everything you touched turned to dust.

Will it inspire those who come after us? No.

Will ours too be a torch that they will hold high? No. Most will try to forget.

  4. I think Harper is amazing.

  5. The words? Inspiring

Mr Harper's ability to rise to the spirit of his words? a dismal failure
