When pen pals turn sour

Jean Charest’s letter to federal party leaders will not receive an answer before the election, Stephen Harper says. At least, not from Stephen Harper….

When pen pals turn sour

  1. If Charest is so angered by the cuts to regional development and culture, why doesn’t he rescind the tax cuts the ROC financed for Quebec 18 months ago and use that money to fund any program he wants.

And I wish Harper would stop ducking issues and start making conservative arguments. Harper talks about moving centre to the right over time but it’s never going to happen if he continues to govern like a Liberal and keeps quiet on the major issues of the day.

  2. According to the translation , the last thing Harper said was “these reforms were a matter of “common sense”. ”

Where have I heard that before….

  3. And I wish Harper would stop ducking issues and start making conservative arguments.

Me too. That way his vote would go down to 15% and the election would be over.

  4. +1

  5. The other question, of course, is why it’s Charest who has dreamed up that writing letters can be an effective rhetorical move. It’s not as if there isn’t someone else on the scene who is both known for writing letters and in dire need of some earned media.
