QP Live: The place where they don’t talk about Rob Ford’s video rant

Join us for your daily dose of political theatre. Tweet about the madness at #QP.

Maclean’s is your home for the daily political theatre that is Question Period, when opposition and government MPs trade barbs and take names for 45 minutes every day. If you’ve never watched, check out our primer, which we produced with J-Source. Today, QP runs from 2:15 p.m. until just past 3. We tell you who to watch, we stream it live, and we liveblog all the action. The whole thing only matters if you participate. Read our morning tease to catch up on the issues of the day, and then chime in on Twitter with #QP.

Much of the world—not an exaggeration—might be preoccupied with a video that features a ranting Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, but parliamentarians will force themselves to focus on federal issues. Expect more on the Senate expenses scandal, though the back half of Question Period will likely see queries on, among other things, the government’s record on climate change.

  1. harper is playing tom(doin a good job too), he knows tom will blow his stack. the more tom blows his stack, the worse he looks. he(tom)is looking like harper himself, just an angry old man. I just see 2 angry old men. we will never hear any true answer till the RCMP makes it public. the reason we know what we know now is because of the senate.

  2. Was that ever a bombshell came out about ‘ Skippy ‘ from Calandra. what members of the press can claim that bomb ? Skippy(pierre poilievre) being compared to Sir Winston Churchill.
