Gatineau’s Heritage College is one of five English-language CEGEPs (collèges d’enseignement général et professionnel). CEGEPs are a unique type of institution in Quebec. They are publicly funded and serve as an intermediary between secondary and post-secondary education, typically offering pre-university courses, technical career programs and general education courses.
Heritage College borders beautiful Gatineau Park, with extensive hiking trails, beaches and picnic sites. The campus features a fitness centre, library, soccer field and beach volleyball courts.
Heritage offers four two-year pre-university programs in liberal arts, science, social science, and visual arts, as well as several three-year career programs including computer science, hotel management, and nursing. All of Heritage’s career programs include a paid co-op option, except for nursing, which has a credited internship.
