Their Royal Cutenesses George and Charlotte

Be honest, all kids are adorable. Royal or not.

Royal bloggers have been suffering from baby withdrawal since the 12 hours of toddlers and newborns that was May 2. Now 34 days after Princess Charlotte was born, everyone gets a chance to ooh and ahh at the newest member of the house of Windsor. The bonus is that Prince George is holding his little sister. From the children’s outfits, it looks like the pictures were taken very soon after Charlotte’s birth. Someone will undoubtedly analyze the outfits for an exact answer!

The pictures were taken by Kate, duchess of Cambridge. She isn’t the first royal to take pictures of her children for public consumption. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark often takes official snaps of her children.

The first came from William and Kate’s official Twitter account at 4 p.m. ET (9 p.m. in London).

By 4:30 p.m. ET, Twitter was flooded with the three other pictures of George and Charlotte. Except that they weren’t to be seen for another 30 minutes under the terms demanded by Kensington Palace for all those who got the pictures early so they could plan their news pages. Someone had broken the embargo. Needless to say, those who followed the rules were not impressed.

And of course, instant comparisons to 31 years ago, when Prince William welcomed his new brother, Harry, flooded the Internet.
