Does this make the Chronicle-Herald the first media outlet to do its own check of how the government has allocated its stimulus spending?

So anyway, the Chronicle Herald’s Steve Maher followed up with Peter Stoffer on that whole maybe-at-odds-with-Layton-over-the-budget thing. Short version? Yes, he thinks the NDP – like all parties – should wait to see the budget before making a decision on whether to support it, and no, he doesn’t think he’ll be kicked out of the party for saying so publicly.
