Peter MacKay. Mr. Speaker, it has been stated here a number of times that there has not been a single, solitary proven allegation of abuse involving a transferred Taliban prisoner by Canadian Forces.

Peter MacKay. Clearly the reality is there is no credible evidence, none, zero, to suggest that a Taliban prisoner transferred from Canadian Forces was ever abused.

Peter MacKay. First, there has never been a single, solitary proven allegation of abuse involving a transferred prisoner from Canadian Forces.

John Baird. I should remind members opposite that there has not been a single, solitary proven allegation involving a transferred Taliban prisoner.

Peter MacKay. There has never been a single proven allegation of abuse involving a prisoner transferred by the Canadian Forces, not one.

Peter MacKay. There has not been a single proven allegation involving a prisoner transferred from the Canadian Forces.

Peter MacKay. Mr. Speaker, there has not been a single, solitary, proven allegation of a prisoner being abused that was transferred from the Canadian Forces.

Peter MacKay. We are asking for these allegations to be proven. There have been no proven allegations that we can refer to.

Peter MacKay. It is also important to note, again, that not a single, solitary, proven allegation involving a transfer of a Taliban prisoner from the Canadian Forces has been proven.

John Baird. The reality is there is no credible evidence suggesting that any Canadian transfer of a Taliban terrorist has resulted in any torture.

John Baird. They all have said the same thing, that no substantiated allegations have ever been proven on any detainee transferred by a Canadian soldier.

John Baird. What we have seen at the committee is that there has never been a confirmed case of the torture of a transferred Taliban captive.

John Baird. I should remind the House and the Leader of the Opposition that there have been no proven allegations of abuse of Canadian-transferred prisoners.

Peter MacKay. There has never been a single, solitary proven allegation of abuse of a detainee, a Taliban prisoner, transferred by Canadian Forces.

John Baird. There has not been a single proven allegation of abuse of a Canadian-transferred prisoner.

Laurie Hawn. All the evidence from their side points to the fact that there has not been a single substantiated allegation of abuse of a Canadian transferred detainee.
