BTC: Good forensic investigation is hard to find


The question most of us are surely asking ourselves right now is this: If I wanted to confirm the authenticity of a controversial audio tape, who should I ask and how much would it cost me?

Well, the Conservative Party of Canada recommends Tom Owen of New Jersey’s Owl Communications Inc. Here’s his CV. And here are his rates. Suffice it to say, expert analysis of this sort doesn’t come cheap.

  4. When you have more business than you can handle, paying silly amounts of money, you don’t need a fancy website… word of mouth suffices. This guy is goooood. Too bad his analysis is pretty much meaningless, since they didn’t use the recorder that Tom Zytaruk recorded the tape on. Or for that matter, the original tape.
