For Anyone Who Ever Wished Real Life Was a Musical

Via Mark Evanier, this 2007 clip of members of the Boston University Stage Troupe doing the opening number from The Music Man on the bus is pretty cool. (For those who haven’t seen The Music Man, the opening number is a patter piece for a bunch of salesman, accompanied only by the clickety-clack of the train. They’re just using the bus noise instead.)

My real wish is to see a “West Side Story reality tour” where you can go from spot to spot on the streets of New York and see the gangs singing and dancing and knifing each other. But that will have to wait.
