Hey Waterloo: Did McCain help you create the Blackberry (Y/N?)

From Jonathan Martin at Politico.com:

“Asked what work John McCain did as Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee that helped him understand the financial markets, the candidate’s top economic adviser wielded visual evidence: his BlackBerry.

“He did this,” Douglas Holtz-Eakin told reporters this morning, holding up his BlackBerry.  “Telecommunications of the United States is a premier innovation in the past 15 years, comes right through the Commerce committee so you’re looking at the miracle John McCain helped create and that’s what he did.”

Al Gore, call your office.”

And here we thought McCain didn’t use e-mail and that BlackBerry was Canadian.

Hey Waterloo: Did McCain help you create the Blackberry (Y/N?)

  1. Hey – the American presidential candidates are engaged in vigorous debates about health care, education, foreign policy, serious issues that require serious answers. Now cut that out.

  2. And let’s not forget lipsticks, pigs, and moose…

  3. Send the “correct” information to the Obama camp…catch McCain in another lie. Besides, I think Canada should get credit where credit is due, damn it.

  4. This is rather off-topic, but in case you missed it at Andrew Sullivan’s blog, this has got to be the single weirdest video ever released by a presidential candidate. You have to see it to believe it, but it’s Ralph Nader (yes, the real guy) having a heartfelt dialogue with a parrot. You think the McCain campaign is surreal? They have nothing on this. It’s very strange.
