It’s a nice-off!

The Liberals nominate a candidate in Ottawa-Centre.

Scott Bradley, the director of government relations for the pharmaceutical company Schering-Plough Canada and a political activist since his university days, believes he is better able to connect with voters across the riding. “Paul Dewar does not have the monopoly on being a nice guy,” he told a crowd of about 500 Liberals who turned out to hear the candidates’ speeches.

Bradley, who likes to mention that he’s a hockey dad and plays in a band for fun, suggested his opponent may not have the common touch he possesses.

It’s a nice-off!

  1. I, for one, am looking forward to another campaign's calls to which I can honestly say "I know he's a nice guy and would probably make a good constituency MP" before the "Go away, I'm not voting for him" part.

  2. I, for one, am looking forward to an additional campaign's calls to which I can honestly say "I know he's a nice guy and would probably make a good constituency MP" before the "Go away, I'm not voting for him" part.

  3. Dewar won the last election by a substantial margin, so Bradley may soon discover that he underestimated his opponent's "common touch".

  4. It's going to be a tough fight, make no doubt about it. But Scott is the best candidate the Liberals could put forward, and I look forward to helping out his campaign even more than I did during the nomination

  5. Bradley doesn't have a prayer.
