Video: Hillary’s Day, all day

Perhaps the most emotional place in Denver at the moment is here at the Plaza ballroom of the Denver Sheraton where the group Emily’s List is holding a gala lunch for Hillary Clinton — and marking the anniversary of women getting the right to vote for women in the U.S. The crowd is cheering and there is even an overflow room.

Clinton just said that for Democratic women to advance their agenda, “we need partners in the White House… Barack Obama and Joe Biden will stand for us and fight for us.”

“By the way, wasn’t Michelle Obama terrific last night?”

“I know the way the White House works… if the president isn’t exactly on our side, call the First Lady. And with Michelle Obama we’ll have someone who answers that phone!”

She’s also trying to persuade her supporters not to vote for McCain in protest of her losing the nomination:
“What a contrast this election poses for America… John McCain… still doesn’t believe women deserve equal pay for equal work. He doesn’t believe women deserve the right to choose. He would turn the clock back when what we need from our president is forward movement and more progress…”

“The choice facing women in this election could not be clearer and the stakes could not be higher. I ask all those who worked so hard for me… who knocked on doors and made phone calls and got in arguments from time to time… to work as hard for Barack Obama as you did for me in the next months.”

But not everyone is ready to move on. Here is one woman I met outside the event:
