As Mr. Coleman has noted, the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario has released three new research papers. One of the papers deals with the question of accessibility to Ontario’s higher education system. A second paper reviews the data needs of Ontario’s higher education sector, and I’m sure there are many.

The remaining paper, which I am perhaps most interested in reviewing, covers the issue of polytechnic education and the policy implications of further development of this institutional type in Ontario. I’m not sure who, but someone once said that “there is no more ambiguous term in the lexicon of higher education than polytechnic”.
