Saskatchewan biz school goes to market

I don’t know if every business school in Canada has its name up for sale, but I know that at least two of the remaining unnamed schools are in the hunt for the cash. I had lunch two weeks ago with the dean of one lower-profile, as-yet-unnamed school who told me that they are gunning for $25 million, and the U Ottawa deal gives them hope that they just might get it.

And then there’s this from the U of Saskatchewan, which is renaming its College of Commerce as “the School of Business.” The new dean told the Saskatoon Star Phoenix that he would also like to find a benefactor for the school, renaming it the Your Name Here school of business, following the lead of most of his peers. He’s still looking for that benefactor.
