Student lobby to students ‘Vote Conservative’

While I do not deny that CFS lobbying efforts played a role in the demise of the Foundation, I would point out that it took a Conservative government to make it possible. The Foundation which was removed from parliamentary scrutiny and effectively tied the hands that spend, is widely viewed as a Jean Chretien vanity project. I can’t imagine the Harper government appreciated such a thing.

A logical conclusion to this, I suppose, will be that the perrennial “Vote Education” slogan will now be code for “Vote Conservative.”

No?
