PROFILE: University of Lethbridge | Lethbridge, Alta. | Founded 1967

If you choose to attend the U of L to pursue your post-secondary institution, I hope that you will be as happy and challenged as I am. My professors have been consistently professional, knowledgeable and committed to excellence in teaching and research. During your studies, you will encounter positive experiences to develop critical and analytical thinking skills. I take my studies seriously and enjoy learning from our professors and other students in a welcoming environment. The concept of liberal education is central to the teaching philosophy. If you seek a university to develop skills as you find your place in the world—no matter what your age—then the University of Lethbridge is a smart choice.

After Class
At the U of L, you’ll enjoy a membership to sports and recreation services. This gives you access to an open gym and indoor track, a pool and fitness classes. In addition, there are many opportunities to join U of L sports teams in basketball, hockey and others. You can also get tickets to watch games on campus. The U of L Library is a sight to behold with impressive architecture and fantastic study areas for individuals and groups. There are even opportunities to participate in student academic conferences. The campus is clean, friendly and peaceful.

Local Vibe
Lethbridge remains a conservative city, even though it has become more diverse over the past decade. If you are a serious student who likes to enjoy wholesome fun, then the city is likely a strong fit for you. There are interesting places to visit in Lethbridge and it is not expensive to live here. If you like to drink a lot of alcohol and party, there is not much of a nightlife. But house parties and eating at restaurants are common social events.
