Controversial newspaper story on hold

Court motion to block Halifax Chronicle-Herald is entertained on Monday

A motion to block the Halifax Chronicle-Herald from publishing a story about Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt will be heard in a Nova Scotia court Monday afternoon. The injunction motion was made by an unnamed applicant who is also seeking an order of confidentiality to protect his or her identity. Some sources report that the story involves an audio recording made by Raitt’s former aide, Jasmine MacDonnel, which includes Raitt’s comments about Federal Health Minister, Leona Agluukaq.
