All on board were killed, including 28 foreigners

by

A Cuban Aero Caribbean passenger plane crashed in a central province of Cuba on Thursday after issuing an emergency call, killing all 68 people on board, Cuban officials reported Friday. The passengers included 7 crew members and 28 foreigners from ten different countries. The foreigners, many believed to be tourists, were almost all from South America and Europe, as well as one Japanese. Rescuers have begun pulling bodies from the wreckage and used a bulldozer to get through thick vegetation and reach the crash site near the town of Guasimal, about 210 miles southeast of Havana.
