Obama mocked for condiment choice

Fox News and conservative bloggers are outraged that President Obama’s selection of unpatriotic and “snotty” Grey Poupon Dijon mustard rather than all-American French’s during a recent lunch stop with Vice-President Joe Biden is being suppressed by the mainstream media, particularly MSNBC.  Fox’s Sean Hannity has lead the “Dijongate” charge, saying  news organizations edited out the detail to maintain Obama’s “man of the people” cred.  It isn’t the first time the president has been assailed for his condiment choices. In his book The Audacity of Hope he tells the story of ordering Dijon on his cheeseburger at a TGI Friday’s on his first tour through Illinois at time America was shunning French imports and eating “Freedom Fries.”  A panicked political aide thrust a bottle of French’s at him instead.  “As the waitress walked away, I leaned over and whispered that I didn’t think there were any photographers around,” Obama writes.
