Franken finally gets his Senate seat

The Supreme Court ruled in favour of the comedian-turned-politician in the 2008 Minnesota election

UPDATE: Norm Coleman has conceded and Al Franken is officially the final winner

Seven months after the election, the Minnesota Supreme Court has unanimously ruled that Al Franken is the winner of the 2008 Minnesota Senate race against  incumbent Norm Coleman. Does that mean this is over? Not necessarily: Coleman, who has raised millions of dollars from Republicans trying to keep Franken (and his vote) out of the Senate, hasn’t ruled out appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the governor of the state, Tim Pawlenty, may be under pressure not to certify Franken if he wants to run for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2012. But for now, Franken is the winner… again.
