Welcome to a very special edition of the Maclean’s Quiz, a weekly diversion designed by Terrance Balazo to test your trivia skills.

Though we typically invite the Maclean’s Genius, Peter Dyakowski, to take the quiz, we thought we’d head to the rinks this week and get some former hockey players to try their hand. So in honour of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada, four NHL alumni stepped forward: two-time Stanley Cup winner Mark Napier, gritty ex-Maple Leaf Darcy Tucker, the silky Selke-winner and former Habs head coach Guy Carbonneau, and moustachioed Calgary Flames icon Lanny McDonald.

We tested them on all things puck-related, from NHL lore to Olympic legend. Here are their scores:

  • GUY CARBONNEAU
    77 per cent

  • LANNY MCDONALD
    77 per cent

  • DARCY TUCKER
    80 per cent

  • MARK NAPIER
    83 per cent

Think you can beat them at their own game? Lace ’em up and click below to try your hand at bragging rights, and then check out HDIC.ca for more.
