With 51.73 per cent of the vote, <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-18571580">Mohammed Mursi has been named the winner</a> of presidential elections in Egypt.
Judge Farouq Sultan said his panel gave close examination to election complaints. &#8220;There is nothing above the law,&#8221; he said, as reported by BBC News.

The final tally:

<li>Mursi won 13,230,131 votes.</li>
<li>Former PM Ahmed Shafiq won 12,347,380, or 48.27 per cent of the vote.</li>
