NATO supply route attacked in Pakistan

Insurgents set fire to 20 oil tankers headed to Afghanistan

Three people are reportedly dead after an attack in Pakistan that saw insurgents set fire to about 20 oil tankers that were headed to Afghanistan to supply NATO forces. According a senior police official, “gunmen opened fire and then set on fire tankers parked on the roadside. It’s a big fire. We’re trying to control it.” The attacks will delay the re-opening of the Khyper Pass, which had been closed after a helicopter strike earlier this week that killed three Pakistani troops. The incident is the latest to highlight the seemingly growing tension between the U.S. and Pakistan.
