Students gathered at the University of Ottawa to protest a proposed student code of conduct

Hundreds of  students at the University of Ottawa marched Friday to protest the proposed non-academic code of conduct. Some students say that the code — which would give the university the power to expel students for sch offenses as “threatens the damage or destruction of property, or the reputation of the university” — is a violation of their freedom of expression.
