Rafael Nadal beat Tomas Berdych in straight sets yesterday to win the Wimbledon crown in a match that lasted lasted two hours and 13 minutes. This was Nadal’s eighth Grand Slam title and, at just 24, puts the Spaniard on pace to beat Roger Federer’s record of 16 Grand Slam titles. “After a difficult year for me, missing the tournament last year, this year I came back and to have this trophy in my hands is more than a dream,” Nadal told the BBC.
