St. John’s cracking down on rude shovellers

Bad behaviour carries $100 fine

Poor snow shovelling etiquette is now a ticketable offence in St. John’s, Nfld. Residents caught piling snow onto city-cleared streets or sidewalks face a $100 fine. As long as they’re prepared to witness, neighbours can call the city to report a violation. The $100 ticket for breaking the snow removal bylaw is new this winter.
