NDP President Brian Topp took some gentle shots at interim Liberal leader Bob Rae in an interview with the Globe and Mail. Topp, gearing up for a leadership bid, said Rae’s time as Ontario’s NDP premier has been a drag on the federal party for years. To succeed, Topp says, the New Democrats need to emulate successful provincial parties in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and B.C.
