News from Statistics Canada that the economy is in recession has shifted the focus of the election campaign. With party leaders out to demonstrate their economic cred, much is being made of the numbers. To help make sense of it all, we spoke to Kevin Page, the former Parliamentary Budget Officer and now a public finance professor at the University of Ottawa.
