QUEBEC – More than 400 people are expected to celebrate today’s wedding of Parti Quebecois Leader Pierre Karl Peladeau and television star Julie Snyder in Quebec City.
Mayor Regis Labeaume will officiate the ceremony in a 17th-century building and home of the historic Musee de l’Amerique francophone, a museum dedicated to francophone culture in North America.
Past premiers Pauline Marois and Bernard Landry are scheduled to attend the ceremony, which begins at 5:15 p.m. eastern.
Other likely guests include Bloc Quebecois Leader Gilles Duceppe, Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre and most of the PQ caucus.
Singer Celine Dion couldn’t make the nuptials, but will send a special message.
Snyder is expected to wear three separate dresses and will arrive in a Tesla electric car, while Peladeau will travel by tandem bike along with his son, Thomas.
