Montreal’s LaSalle College is the largest bilingual college in North America, with over 60 programs and a significant population—about 20 per cent—of international students. Its programming is separated into five specialty schools: fashion, arts and design; hotel management and tourism; business and technologies; humanities and social sciences; and e-learning. LaSalle’s programs emphasize applied learning, and most involve a mandatory internship component.
The fashion program features a study abroad option, where students can take a semester in Vancouver, Barcelona, Istanbul, Bogota, Barranquilla (in Colombia), or Jakarta. Culinary and hospitality students hone their skills in LaSalle’s living laboratory, Le Fuchsia restaurant, a high-end dining establishment open to the general public.
