After a decade as an internationally renowned paraglider, Kacper Kowalski decided to put the hours he spent soaring high above the Earth to good use. Thanks to far-flung paragliding competitions and his sometimes cumbersome camera equipment, the 36-year-old has snapped stunning aerial photos of often-inaccessible cityscapes and previously unseen natural environments.

That the Polish-born Kowalski has a degree in architecture should come as no surprise. His eye for the smallest detail, the sharp lines and the ever-changing pattern of the ground below him allows the viewer to see the world as he does: with fresh eyes.
