New York Times reporter C.J. Chivers, a former U.S. Marine, has been traveling with the rebels in Libya and assesses their combat capabilities. It’s a devastating portrait and well worth reading. It still leaves plenty of room for debate over the wisdom of Western intervention in Libya, but now at least we know what we’ve all gotten into — including 570 members of the Canadian Forces.
