Queer Liberals

As part of Toronto Pride Week the group Queer Liberal held their first fundraiser.  LGBT Liberal community members and their friends gathered at a downtown condo party room. There are four chapters of Queer Liberals across the country and at the event it was announced they would launch the group  Queer Young Liberals.

Word came Friday night that Defence Minister Peter MacKay had revoked the invitation of Imam Zijad Delic to speak at forum hosted by the Department of National Defence. On Sunday, Jack Layton criticized MacKay’s decision.

MPs help battle bullying at Egale’s gay rights gala

The gay rights group Egale held their second annual gala at Toronto’s Royal York Hotel. The gala honoured TD bank CEO Ed Clark with a leadership award.
