Change we can relive in

President-elect Hillary Clinton today named transition chiefs for three major federal departments: State, Defense and Treasury. As expected, Senator Clinton named only officials who had worked in her husband Bill Clinton’s government — six out of six transition overseers are veterans of the so-called “Clinton 42” administration, as is Senator Clinton’s newly-named chief of staff, Rahm Emmanuel.

David Axelrod, who helped run Illinois Senator Barack Obama’s ill-fated attempt to unseat Clinton for the Democratic nomination, said Clinton was hiring people of “obvious quality” to engineer “the return of Clinton Democratic government,” but that it was “unfortunate Democrats and Americans didn’t seize an opportunity to ring in more fundamental change when Barack Obama offered them a chance.”
