The Liberals nominate a candidate in Ottawa-Centre.

Scott Bradley, the director of government relations for the pharmaceutical company Schering-Plough Canada and a political activist since his university days, believes he is better able to connect with voters across the riding. “Paul Dewar does not have the monopoly on being a nice guy,” he told a crowd of about 500 Liberals who turned out to hear the candidates’ speeches.

Bradley, who likes to mention that he’s a hockey dad and plays in a band for fun, suggested his opponent may not have the common touch he possesses.
