Rob Stewart, the award-winning Canadian biologist and filmmaker behind such movies as Sharkwater, has reportedly died after a three-day search at sea off the coast of Florida. He was reportedly doing what he loved best—diving to film a part of an upcoming movie. In 2007, Brian D. Johnson profiled Stewart and found the “primitive tenacity of a filmmaker who had to learn on the job, and ended up starring as his own naive protagonist.”
