Isabella Rossellini was the first star to touch down in Toronto for the 2009 Film Festival. She brought along hand made props of a fishing vessel, a school of anchovies and 11 animal penises – all which are a part of her film “Green Porno: Scandalous Sea” screening at the Royal Ontario Museum. Expect more stars to flood into town tomorrow when the festival officially kicks off.
Indie pop darlings Of Montreal spare no expense with their live show, complete with feather machine, glitter, red body paint, and lots of shaving cream. Other recent concerts include Patti Smith’s intimate appearance at the Gardiner Museum and Metric’s electric set on the Toronto Island. If you can’t make it out to the venues, follow the link below and it’s almost like you’re there…
Thunder, lightning, and a monsoon-type storm may have shut down the red carpet procession, but the rest of the 19th annual MuchMusic awards went off without a hitch. Perez Hilton, Rihanna, and New Kids On The Block (!) were among those there to celebrate.

Retro theatres, vintage cars, and a total lack of American paparazzi — it’s long way from the over-hyped Hollywood film festivals you’re used to seeing in the rest of the world. The Havana Film Festival enticed only one major film star (Gael García Bernal), but still had plenty of charm as it celebrated its 29th year.
The stars just seem to shine brighter north of the border. Exclusive pictures of celebrities on the red carpet and in their own habitat (aka hotel rooms) at the 2007 Toronto Film Festival. Check out Matt Damon, Jennifer Garner, George Clooney and Brad Pitt — erm, with an itchy nose.
Maclean’s recently spent some time trailing Ottawa rapper Belly, on route to his gig at Canada’s Wonderland’s Summer Rush concert. Slotted between The Venga Boys and Enrique Iglesias, Canada’s very own gangsta rapper showed the crowd who’s leading The Revolution.
Stars pull out all the stops to make an impression at the MuchMusic Video Awards. Jay Manual, of Canada’s Next Top Model, sports a “fierce” hat to the annual show and Tara Reid looks bright and beautiful (seriously). We’ve also got pics of Alexisonfire, Sum 41, Hilary Duff and Fergie.
