The University of New Brunswick offers two different programs on separate campuses.

In Fredericton, students have the option of a concentration in entrepreneurship, with courses focused on market opportunity analysis, entrepreneurial finance and venture development. Entrepreneurship students can also participate in the school’s Activator program. Matched with an entrepreneur or inventor at the start of the year, these students design a business and use each course as a step in its development. They also have an opportunity to consult with experts on trips to destinations such as Los Angeles, Paris or Helsinki.

Activator is just one example of the experiential learning opportunities UNB offers its MBA candidates. Second-year MBA students can earn credits through the Student Investment Program, managing a real fund worth approximately $8 million.

If you’re looking to parlay your interest in sports into a rewarding business career, UNB is one of the few universities in Canada that offer an MBA in sport and recreation management, a two-year degree at its Fredericton campus that combines courses from the faculties of business and kinesiology. An internship puts students’ skills to use within a private or non-profit organization. In the past, students have completed internships with Rugby Canada, the L.A. Kings and the Ottawa Senators.

UNB Fredericton also offers a combined MBA and juris doctor program, a four-year joint degree between the faculties of business and law. To be eligible, candidates must first be accepted to each program separately.

Meanwhile, the Saint John campus offers a one-year or part-time MBA program with specializations in international business, entrepreneurship and technology management, or project management. Students can complete part of their studies abroad in France, China or India.
