Two highlights from the scrums following Question Period:

1. Liberal MP John McCallum on infrastructure funding: I think that there’s a crushing need for infrastructure and infrastructure not only is needed because we don’t want our roads to fall apart and our bridges to fall down, but also it creates jobs. So I think that is one area where the government could act.

2. NDP House Leader Nathan Cullen on economic uncertainty: I think we should be equally concerned that the Finance Minister is using fictional numbers to create his budget projections. He’s overestimating the strength of the Canadian economy and we don’t need a fudge-it budget right now. There are a lot of threats out there.
