Just a quick link to the winners from the first night of the Gemini Awards and the second night. The final batch of awards will be announced at the gala next week, but the a lot of the big awards for home-grown work were handed out this week, and many of them went to Call Me Fitz, just in time to give a potential boost to the start of the third season later this month. It won best directing, writing (Pat Bullard for the episode “Long Con Silver”), editing and other prizes in the comedy category. Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern, creators of Flashpoint, won best drama writing for their episode “Jumping at Shadows.”
